On Wednesday 23rd October, year 7 learners at Connah’s Quay were involved in the Welsh department’s relaunch of the annual school Eisteddfod, raising learners’ cultural awareness of national traditions. Activities included a ‘dawnsio gwerin’ (national folk dance) workshop, national anthem choir singing and creating a new emblem mural for the school. The morning ended with an awards ceremony for competition work in all Curriculum Areas. The pinnacle event was the chairing ceremony and the presentation of The Greg Dixon Eisteddfod Award to Carys Harrison. Diolch i bawb am gymryd rhan!
